About Us
Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be a doctor. All of my thoughts and plans were geared towards medical school; taking advanced courses in math and science, taking Latin and extracurricular activities. Of course I was a biology pre-med major with a minor in chemistry at the renowned Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA.
After graduating from there with honors, I was accepted to Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I was really attracted to osteopathic medical schools due to the philosophy of treating the cause and not just the symptoms; looking at the whole person. I graduated feeling a bit disenchanted by the whole process but continued on to post graduate training. I did my internship at Dallas Southwest Hospital in Dallas, TX. While there, I had a spiritual conflict. I continued to see the same patients over and over with the same complaints and ailments. It was like a revolving door. I started thinking, “These people come in here over and over and all we do is prescribe medication and order tests. But it is not helping!” After completing my internship, I thought I just needed a short break. So I became a flight attendant for American Airlines with the intention of taking a 1 year sabbatical. In the process, I started traveling to places I thought I would never go and my mind expanded so much to realize the vast and beautiful world out there available for me to experience. I started gradually becoming more health conscious because all of the up and down and different altitudes changes how your body acts. Then I discovered I had uterine fibroids. I decided that no one was going to cut on my womb, my temple and I was not going to take synthetic hormones. I started reading and researching how to heal fibroids naturally and made a complete change literally overnight with my eating, exercise and meditation; I became vegan overnight. I was determined to remain disciplined, be patient and keep the faith. Today, I am fibroid free!! Through that experience, I knew that many women would come to me and I had to know that I know that I know how to help them. I knew that I was meant to be a doctor, but come back to it from a different angle and truly practice the art and ministry of healing. This is my purpose, my passion and my ministry!
